    Arrow Need Help!!!!

I have a 99 TA, I was driving it home yesterday and heard a weird sound coming from the engine. I stopped and pulled over and noticed that it sounded like a rod was knocking. I turned the car off and back on and notice that it said I had low oil. Checked the oil and it was low. Added oil to the car and drove it back home. When I go really slow and stop the rpms will go up and down from 400 to 800. Can someone tell me if this sounds like a rod knocking and how to fix it.

    Thanks

How do you let your car get low on oil. Should'nt be a 1/2 quart low much less 2 quarts. Would'nt want to by a piece of machinery from ya'll. come on how hard is it to lift the hood. shouldnt be using oil anyway if you keep it changed and clean. Lot of money for being lazy.

the oil pressuse stays around 40-45 now, I did not see any oil under the car when I checked, but when I checked the oil, I had to put 2 quarts in there to get it back to normal.

Some cars lose oil faster than others and out of no where some times it seems.

OIl blow by..very common problem for the LS1. Check your oil level every 1000 miles. There is an issue with the rings from what I have read.
