    My Starting Parts and Prices

Here is a good list of parts and prices you can start with. You may find them cheaper somewhere, but LS1Speed.com price matches. Anyone please chime in if you think otherwise.

    1. Whisper Lid w/ Sure Fit Seal & Breather = $120.99 Only reason I didn't go with SLP is that they are back ordered and you will wait 2+ months for your lid. SLP fits better from what I have heard, but i am not waiting 2 months for a damn lid.

    2. K&N Filter = $44.99

    3. Pace Setter Longtube Headers - Coated = $374.99

    4. Seal-4-Good LS1 MLS Header Gaskets = $36.99 I have been told you can use the stock gasket, but why take chances replace it with a better one.

    5. ARP Header Stud Kit, LS1,LS6, 5.7L & 6.0L = $94.49 I tried to use the stock bolts but had issues with them and purchased these and they worked great.

    6. LS1 EGR/AIR Block-off Set = $14.00 I know your car doesn't have EGR but the headers will have the setup for it and you have to block it off.

    7. 24" O2 Extention F-Body OBDII (each) = $17.99 you need 2. You can get away with using the 12" ones but mine tried to melt themselves to my headers so go with the longer ones so you don't have same problem.

    8. Spiro-Pro 8mm Spark Plug Wire Set LS1 Blue/Black/Red = $47.99

    9. NGK TR-55 Set of 8 Spark Plugs = $15.99

    10. Texas Speed Rumbler X True Duals = $459.99 I have these installed on my car. I have no clearance problems and I only hit on stuff I would have hit with stock exhaust. They are realy deep sounding and they let people know when your passing.

Well this is what i have installed on my Trans Am. All you would need after this is a good tune to delete the rear O2, Air pump and to get your A/f and timing right and you should be good for a bit.

it dumps before the axle. Sounds great if you like aggresive sounding exhaust. can drone sometimes but thats what your going to get with almost anything as you build power.

FYI, SLP's lid is currently shipping according to Hank at SLP.
And the K&N is a waste of $30. (IMO.) Don't over-oil it, or you'll have trouble later with the screen downstream & oil particles.

Were those headers gasket really that good? Did they seal up nicely?
I was thinking of picking them up also, so I'm curious if they worked that well.

Edit: went to percyshp.com & read all about'em. Seem to be a pretty good item.

My PaceSetters sound good with my exhaust and mine are considered true duels (Texas Speed Rumbler X True Duals Exhaust). They are loud but not to bad at idle. Realy deep low rumble. When I put my foot into it everyone around me knows I'm not playing. Lets put it this way i have left lights pretty hard and watched people in other cars jump, because it scares the shit out of them.
