    Mods on ws6

Can you guys explain some simple mods to me. I understand the basics but i would like to learn more. Such as headers/pulleys/exhaust/lids/and anything else you would be willing to explain. I understand their general purpose but could you re-state them and explain some in depth. Also i would like to know how hard it would be to install them myself (with general tools and my dad was also a mechanic years ago so he knows some general body work not much though) thanks for the patience and help.

    HI
your first mod should be a lid (i prefer SLP) and also get a k+n air filter.
it lets your car breath better. really easy to install. takes about 30 min. you will gain about 10 hp.
Then i would go with a cat back exhaust(I prefer slp loudmouth But magnaflow is damn good) Both of them sound great the slp a little louder. magnaflow is deeper. the installation isnt all that bad takes about 2 hours.for a newbe. gives about 10-15 hp.

you could also do all the free mods. go to www.installuniversity.com tis will show you how. the mods are pretty good. and the show you how to do it step by step. well worth it.

thats the first 3 things i did. and they were all well worth it.

No a lid replaces the stock air box that has the restrictive silencers. The FRA mod is basically gutting everything out from under the lid.

the y-pipe is the pipe with connects the 2 headers and brings them into one thicker pipe-this connects to the catalytic converter(s). The catback is the I pipe which comes from the cats and also includes the muffler-exhaust tips. The throttle body is behind the intake and connects to the intake manifold. It is what you are controlling when you are pressing the gas pedal. It opens and lets air in when you give it gas. Hope this helps!

Thanks so much, that really helped alot.

Anything else you, or anyone could add about basics would be awesome, like how mods helps the performance on those parts. or how mods in gerneral will help out a ws6/ss.
