    MM6 Ratios

    Are the Tremec gear ratios the same for different cars, ie transam and gto with 6-speeds.

    I don't know specifically for trans am vs gto but I know non-gm brand tremec 6 speeds have different ratios. I want to say the gto and TA ratios are close but I am not 100% positive and I could be totally wrong.

    I found the info on the net, the ratios are the same between ws6 and gto and the rear end ratios are the same. I have both cars, same diameter tires yet they drive differently. I can get the gto into 6th around town at 2000rpm. The transam I have to be on the freeway before I can shift into 6th. Also the factory specs are different with the same driveline setup. gto=13.8 @ 116 and transam 13.0@108. Gto has a faster top speed but its slower in the et's. Why is this?
