    Talking Missing Installation Instructions-Side Grills

I have these SS-Chrome grills to install on my car. Can someone tell me how to do that. the guy who sold these to me promised to give me a walk-thru and bailed.

Open up your driver side door or passenger door and look through where the door hinges are. You will see the grills in there held in by 4 clips I believe. Squeeze your fat hand in there and just pop em out.

    Its' that easy.

You are so right....I am having a really hard time getting my FAT hand behind that door...like I said previously...I have a way better chance of getting my pomeranian's paw in there....maybe he can install those grills for me....LOL

get a 5 year old boy from down the street to get em out. You won't need him anymore after that......til next year when you touch them up.

OK I will let you know how it goes...not sacrificing any more nails over this!!!! And what do you mean TOUCH UP....no one ever said anything to me about touching anything up....isn't chrome/SS forever. Last time I checked the chemical comp that was true!!!

OH next problem installing gauge bezel...if you want to take a shot at that I am willing to listen...I did post it in the INTSALL HELP section.

Well, I painted my stock black ones red. That's what I did.

As far as removing the bezel for anything, I'm not going there yet. Here is the link if you want to fabric cover it though.

OH no not that...that is not what I mean....there is a plexi-galss cover over the gauges...I bought a SS bezel overlay....that goes over the gauges...just want to know how to pop that plexi-glass cover off....not the trim...I am not nuts...I like it the way it is...maybe I am using the wrong terminology....it is just a polished SS overlay....

Your grills look awesome...I do like the red and white accents..I had a black 2001 WS6 in TX....hell of a deal I got on it too....2100 miles 2 weeks old...all custom...guy's wife nmade him return it for a Yukon...LOL....anyway it was the paint job...looked awful....could not keep it up....OH and the tires...I was losing a rim and tire every 2 weeks...damn armadillos....

Well have the one I wanted now...took a year...I just hope the chrome shows up like I think it will....

Armadillos will cause that much damage to a rim and tire? Holy crap. I'm glad we don't have those up here. They are migrating for some reason though. Maybe they know something about our planet that we don't. "ICE AGE"

YES and very very expensive....550 for a rim and 220 per tire....kind of like hitting a very large hard rock...LOL

For my current TA I have been collecting parts and have just now begun to install them...I have the GM parts manual and it gives me blown up schematics....but it is not completely obvious. That is why I have been asking questions....

OK so no one I guess has ever put a bezel overlay on their gauges...did a search found nothing...DAMN IT!!!!!!

    I will figure it out....eventually!!!

Nah, I'm sure plenty of guys have done this on here. Make sure you post it in the proper area so that it gets the due attention.

As far as rims go, Jeezus man!!! What kind of rims do you have? Mine are TTIIs and they only cost me $302 per rim. Show me some pics of these gawd awful rims.

The guy who had it ordered the 17 chrome GM wheels had the WS6 emblem....

I have factory 17s on my white TA....I plan on Torque II's for this car. That is my biggest decision which wheels and what size. 9.5 in the front and 11s in the rear....but the tires wre the issue...

I thought installation was the place to post my question...I need to know how to remove the gauges.....this bezel just tapes over the black...

I love my TTIIs but, plan on getting some TTMs next spring also. I love both and want to change it up sometimes. Kinda like shoes. Never know what shoes you're in the mood for from day to day.

Good luck with the bezel though. Let me know what you find out. I'm looking into removing mine for a speedo decal and maybe paint. Not sure yet.

    What are TTMs?

With regard to the bezel...I am looking at the gauges and think maybe better to leave it black and just put a red bird decal in there....I need to know how to get the cover off the gauges....

I just cleaned all the leather....waiting for it to dry....had to replace my WS6 badge...someone stole mine...NICE!!!!.....

LOL. When you find out the best method, let me know. TTMs are Torque Thrust Ms. Originally put on the Cobra, they make them without the dreaded Cobra insignia. I think Tire Rack has a good pic of them. I like my TTIIs but, to have a second set of TTMs? Shit.

I just ordered them from GM Parts Direct....so I will do the bolting and install them....probably a result of the winter weather.
