    MAYBE a 6.0 LS1 for my TA

been awhile since i posted on here.. been kinda busy with moving and getting engaged and getting my fiance to sell her 07 V6 mustang and getting a TA ... possibly going this weekend to pick one up.. anyway, was talking to the guy who installed my "temporary relplacement motor" today and he gave me some super awesome news... he might be able to pull a deal off for me... a straight swap of my motor for a 6.0. all i would pay is for him to install it..$800! HOPEFULLY this will come to be!

Do you know what block exactly? There's no such thing as a 6 liter LS1

Would be a ice upgrade and with a 6.0 you'd have lots of potential. Are you going to have the computer tuned for it?

I just got done with my LQ9 6.0 iron block conversion, and if I had it to do all over again, I would've rebuilt my LS1. I'm not even going forced induction or nitrous later on. I barely have 500 miles on it yet, but I'm not impressed.

Maybe once she wears in and it gets dyno tuned.

What are the details on the build?

My ls1 heads, ls6 intake, 228r cam, tune, and everything is brand new completely rebuilt. Even my m6 tranny. Thats about it. Oh and my other clutch was slipping, my new one came in today. Putting it in as I type. Maybe that will be the game changer.

I have seriously considered that before you even offered. Lol. But I'm going to have it dyno tuned and change the rearend before I completely decide.

But I'm keeping an eye out for you a cheap iron block around here.

241's on a 6.0 build? Of course youre disappointed. Go L92 or at least ported 243's, FAST intake, and a bigger cam. The 228 is a good dd ls1 cam but more cubes like more duration. Theres some hp to unlock in your motor!

How so? I was responding to post #7 and #10. My point to the OP and jrbonds is just swapping a 6.0 block isnt worth the swap. Building a 6.0 with a matching top end is worth it.

Thank you for the advice, I know I appreciated it and probably the OP did also.

I am sure he was referring to the tater-jrbonds exchange and not your post... all is well.

We are all just happy to see Jodi with a running car... again.

OP -- good to see you back on the Board!
