Great muffler.
I would put that money towards the whole catback though and keep saving.

Looks like the same muffler that came with my P/N 16723 Magnaflow catback. Mellow at idle and cruise, opened up nicely under acceleration with the stock manifold and Y. Deeper tone and louder than the stock exhaust. Added LT's and a catted Y later and the sound only got better.

yeah, right now im running pacesetter lts and oryp with the hooker catback. I want a little bit of a louder sound at idle, and during normal driving conditions.. I love the sound of it when i start climbing into the RPMs but other than that its really mellow...

I don't have a magnaflow or any interest in buying one so I can give you a impartial answer. From the hooker system I heard and the magnaflows a lot of people have the magnadlow has a better tone and is far deeper and less raspy if your not running catsnever heard the hooked with cats but actually I liked the flowmaster sound with factory manifold and cats and it's a cheap easy install. Really depends on how loud you wanna go and how raspy or deep a sound u want.

to add to ryanjm's post, plan ahead, if you plan on putting in a cam later on, the sound of your exhaust will completly change..on ls1sounds they have the sound of most exhausts before and after a cam install..like everyone says do it right the first time..
whatever exhaust you end up with it is better than the stock, they all will give yout he same gains

thats exactly what i am trying to do! I plan on getting the MS3 cam and i dont think it will sound the way i want it to with the hooker catback... Ive heard some cams on youtube with the TSP rumbler catback and i have to say i really like it. Plus its a simple catback, i think i might go with that one, thanks for the help guys.

cherry bomb extreme mufflers if ya want a loud ass car w/ a h/c set up, but check your dps or inspector to see what min length for a muffler is. the extremes are a 1 chamber muffler and is only 12" long.

My comparison vid of stock vs magnafow cat back, sry crappy camera but you get the idea, the peg on the rev was due to a bad tune from previous owner who limited it to 4K dumb ass lol.
