LS1 ALL THE WAY!!! You will regret the purchase of the LT1 because your short-changing yourself in the power department!! Yes, you can dump parts into it to make up the difference, but on the controvert, you can simply do the same with the LS1 and make even more power!!!!

Except then you will need to buy a new trans mission to match the LS1.. and wiring harness.. and and... its a big job...

and when u spend more money on buying the ls1. dollar for dollar its probably very similar (including the cost of the car/engine. in fact, dollar per hp ratio, lt1 may be better cuz u can get them dirt cheap)

    STFU...are you retarded?

an LT1 just needs to breathe better. add headers/exhaust and port the TB/MAF + tune it and BOOM you'll own slightly modded LS1's

check out zbizkit here in his black 95 z28: http://videos.streetfire.net/video/B...911FE19177.htm

Are you sure most LS1s are at 345 stock?? that seems really high to me... maybe thats just at the crank? My buddy had one that after true duals and many many other small mods only dynoed at 333 i believe

He said bhp.. meaning not RWHP... mine stock was 305rwhp/306rwtq.. then after headers, duals, lid, gears, and a stall, I was at 342rwhp/355rwtq without touching the engine at all yet.

345 at the crank, he dynoed at the rear wheels, some are higher i made 337 with headers exhaust and a lid. Which is about 370-380 at the crank, not bad, and i have many friends with full bolt on lt1s some with tunes and the run low to mid 13s, me with just headers exhaust and a lid i ran a 12.8 in 88 degree weather, so the ls1 is better but the lt1s are still beast motors, i had a 96 formula, i raced that thing all around this great counrty of ours and never had one engine problem.

You wont be disappointed with either car, as long as its in good shape

The one I am looking at is a 96 M6 with only 39k miles, 1 owner. Has nice wheels and hurst shifter, tinted windows, black in color. Will take $9k for it. I know you can find them cheaper but this one hasn't been beat on and the miles are LOW!

True. The LT4 heads have the same flow rates as the LS1 heads, so if you upgrade to those (or AFR's), it'll breathe a lot better also.

It's in Minnesota. I does have rims 18in chrome vette rims. Stock hood and exhaust. Just not sure if it's worth it. I want the power of the LS1 and with a car like that and low miles I might just want to keep stock...not sure. Don't know how much I want to spend upgrading it to make it as fast or faster than an ls1. I like top end power too...

If you got 9 grand you can find a good ls1 car for about 2k more. I got mine with a 2 year warrenty with 48k miles for 10,700, I admit that was a good deal but i looked for 3 months although i had a lt1 car while i was looking to have my fun with.
