So how is it on a stock LS1? Looking to get one, just seeing if it will break me seeing as how I'm only 17.
Automatic btw.

I've been getting about 23ish on the highway. About the same as my wife's Minivan and my 4 cylinder Dodge Stratus.

I have a 2002 WS6. It's an M6, but I get 18-24 on average. but if I'm a good boy on the gas I have gotten over 27 on the highway. Stay up on the maintenance, lay off the pedal, and she'll treat you good on the gas.

Sticker on mine new for an A4 says 18/26 - insurance is what's probably going to be the budget buster in your case.

You're right about the insurance part! My insurance company does it on a scale of 35 with 35 being the most expensive. The car i drive now is at 16 "points" but the Trans Am/Camaro will shoot it up to 31 points! Corvettes and your other high end cars are the 35's. Luckily Mom said if I could take responsibility and pay for my own gas and the car payment she would take care of the insurance
And I like these #'s ... But as SecondGearScratch said... I'll be on it... Alot

One of the benefits of aging. My T/A for full coverage with a $250 deductible, is only running me $50 a month.

it really sucks that you guys have to pay for obligatory insurance...
I don't really know millage...but in strickly city driving I can make a full tank last the whole week...at about 200miles per tank...but I have bad 02's so it's runnin hella rich

My insurance bill for my ws6 for 6 months is $650. And I am 19yrs old. This is because I get the good student discount and I have never been pulled over.
I get around 18+mpg around town.

The best i have gotten is 34mpg setting the cruise on 65 and not haveing to pass anyone (really behaving). with getting on it a touch when i pass or from stops i get around 30. I havent checked city milage. This is with a few mods and a gas saver chip. Insurance under my name was going to be like 300 a month cuz of some past tickets so my parents did me a favor and put it in their name and i pay them.... 80 a month beats 300.

I drive my car pretty "spirited-ly". I get around 14 prolly in the city. if you go 70 on the freeway you'll get 29 prolly.
