    LS1 fuel rail covers....

Does anyone know if I can take a corvette fuel rail cover and attach them to my LS1 with Ram Air? I would like to fill in the corvette lettering and smooth them out. Any thoughts?

You have to do cutting on the Vette ones before they will fit an fbody.

They need to look like this in order to fit -- especially if you still have the secondary air system hooked up:

Excellent! Not sure why these weren't included from the factory but they def make the engine compartment look better. I have a Navy Blue Met. trans am with ram air, so I think I will go with red covers and red calipers. I hope it won't make it look to gaudy. I own several Mustangs and I've always wanted a TA ram air so I am def a newbie with the LS1's.

Agree. Mine are from Afterthoughts -- they did a real nice job with everything. I thought about making a pair, but after seeing their covers on other members' cars and thinking about all the time it would take I also felt it was a bargain and ordered up a set.

OP: You can check them out here: Afterthoughts Auto

My car had the "red" corvette rail covers on there when I got it. I took them off when I changed the plugs and never put them back on. Probably won't.

I just got some used ones & cleaned them up. Just a cut out for the dip stick tube & cruise control.

Just trust me, the ones directly from Vettes will not fit an fbody without cutting. You probably have ones that were precut for an fbody already.

    Mine are uncut and fit.

But there were things in the engine bay that needed to be moved around a bit.
-The AIR system near the rear of the driverside had to be removed from the bracket holding it there and left to hang.

-The throttle control wire bracket had to be modified
-The oil dipstick was moved more towards the passenger side of the car.

So it can be done without cutting the FRC's. My set was one of the first custom sets done and was before any cutting template was made so the guy who made them figured out a way to do it without cutting.
