Low fuel light?
Hi. Anyone knows if 98 TA's and Firebirds had a low fuel light? or check gauges light related to fuel? Mine doesn't light up at all. I know the check gauges light works because my alternator went bad and it came on. I had kept my car on "E" for a long time and even under the "E" on the fuel gauge and no light. Thanks.

Not sure on the 98's, but helms says my check gauges indicator will come on at 90 OHMs/15% fuel level. "E" fuel gauge resistance is 40-82 OHMs/0-11% fuel level.

Black / Stryker Blue- 2K WS.6/ 2K9 G8GT
98 DID NOT have a light...
E = Empty...
And I wouldnt advise letting it hang out below a 1/4 tank, due to the fact that the gasoline cools the pump, and an empty tank leads to overheating which leads to pump failure....

I used to have a 98 SS, and the check gauges light NEVER came on. So I surmised that this was an issue related to the 98', seeing as my 00' doesnt have that same issue.
