I say stick with the NBM. I LOVE my NBM car, I think it's the best looking color when washed and waxed.

Only other color I'd like is pewter, for the fact that NBM always looks dirty. Pewter seems to disguise the dirt and scratches better.

In my opinion, I really don't like yellow on firebirds and trans ams, I like to see them be more subtle.

I say tint the windows black, get black rims (Corvette rims would look really good) and smoked side markers

No prob. I am so young that grumpy old ppl give me looks till they see my legs then they turn away. Everyone thinks I don't catch the looks, but being a combat vet you know when ppl stare at you or give you that hostal vibe. I ignore it mostly but there are days that when some one wants to start shit I get right up in their face.

I am going to see if the color (NB) grows on me some more. I like the electric blue idea. I think it would make it stand out in the crowd. I'll look into that one some more.

do something original, if your gonna go though all the work of repainting, dont do a copy of a GM color. i think SOM would be dumb to duplicate. like i said earlier, i think matte black would look cool. or maybe a gunmetal. something no one else has. or just stick with the blue.

O yeah, defenitely go with gun metal with black accents, that sounds really sweet.

And sorry about the yellow comment I made earlier, I didn't mean to put down your car. I guess it's just something I'm not used to cause mine is such a dark green color

Yeah, gunmetal and black would be killer. I often wondered why that color wasn't available on the 4th gens, I had a 88 GTA that was gunmetal and I loved that color.

    (PS6)
Viper Steel Grey is a color I would stay away from. It's a 3 stage so it's more expensive. I just did some work on a Viper, Lower front bumper and the removable roof. That color is more money that a normal gunmetal color since you need the grey base and a white pearl mid coat is the color code for nthat if you are interested. It really doesn't look any better than a normal metallic grey. I didn't even know it was 3 stage when I 1st got the car in, when I order the paint from Dupont down the street and got the price I new it was. If you want a gunmetal go to a shop with chip books and look for a normal base/clear system. Also if you ever scratch it or someone bumps you it will be alot easier and cheaper than the Viper grey.
