Looking at buying new gearing, help
I need some help on choosing the right gearing for me. I have stock gearing now and just want to upgrade a little because i know it will make it faster. I want mainly a quick car from a roll, from like 50-125. I want it to be quick but i also want to be able to have a lot of top speed also. I went 145 in 5th gear just recently and 6th gear is so long it doesnt even help much..

4.11's is common for m6's.
Top speed is achieved in 5th gear, that 6th gear is strictly an economy gear so don't go busting it up, unless you have extra cash which I would gladly take

I have 3.73's in my A4 and most people I know with 6spd cars all have 4.10's. I know once I can find a nice SS or even a clean Z28 6spd the 1st mod will be a set of 4.10's. Six speed cars come with a 3.42 already so a 3.73 would make a huge difference. My A4 had 3.23's so I knew I had to at least go to a 3.73 to make it worth doing.
