Looking for 2001, WS6 Engine Specs.

    I have a completely stock 2001, Firebird TA, WS6, 6 speed, LS1.

Does anyone out there in LS1 land have the specs. for this engine? Meaning cam specs., bore specs., head specs., etc, etc, etc.

If not, does anyone know where I can get it?

    Thanks...

Gotta love factiry service mamulas some times. This is out of one for 2000 but I don''t think much would have changed from 2000 to 01

    Bore: 3.898
    Stroke: 3.622
    Min oil pressure hot;
    1000RPM - 6psi
    2000RPM - 18
    4000RPM - 24

Cam Specs (this is for service so some information is not there)
    End Play 0.001 - 0.012 in.
    Journal Diametere 2.164 - 2.166
    Lift exh and int 0.292

    Other possible usefull info

Valve lift intake - 0.472 in
    Valve lift exhaust - 0.479

Thats all I have thats really any use possibly unless. If want any more feel free to ask.

Interesting. Maybe the 01's have higher compression or better induction?

the 01-02s have slightly smaller cams but better intakes than 00's, so the power pretty much equals out, but those cam numbers will be slightly off

but the cam got a tiny bit smaller so power basically balances out (as stated in previous post)

very true but its also easier to put a ls6 intake on a 98-2000 model then it would be to put a cam in a 01-02 model about the same price tho just easier IMO tho

yes thats correct, cuz if you decide to replace a cam u might as well get something with an actual improvement instead of like 5hp extra

Haven't tried any html tags; going to try a marquee. See what happens.
