Looking at an '00 WS6 T/A M6...
A local dealer has a 2000 WS6 for sale. They're asking close to 11k. The car looks pretty good in the (ton) of pics in the ad, but it has 127k on it. KBB values a car like that in excellent condition at close to 9k, so I'd be negotiating for sure...
Just curious what everyone's thoughts are on our ladies after 100k and whether or not this is worth me pursuing. It's black and awesome looking and an M6 which I'm after.
Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

That is WAY too much! damn...well first clue is that its at a dealer. You can definitly find a better price on something with much lower miles too. keep looking

Thanks for the tip. Also curious how our cars are after passing 100k.
What I'd REALLY like is a WS6 Formula M6.

Private owner is the way to go, but...
I'd lowball them and see what they do. Whatever your comfortable paying cash.
Like $7500 cash right now... If they try and negotiate walk away.
You can also check kbb for the dealer trade in, which is probally pretty close to what they gave the previous owner on trade in, unless they got it from auction.

Private owner is definately my pref, but I'm gonna have to finance. There's ways of doing it for P.O.s, too, but I thought I'd at least take a gander at this since it was "there".

Get pre-approved at your bank, so you know exactly what you can spend and what you can't. I know dealerships score extra cash from arranging fiance deals so don't let them do your numbers. Get pre-approved.
I paid $9000 cash for my ws6. Got pre-approved through my credit union. Had 53,000 on the clock.

Yeah go test drive it for fun, then lowball em for fun.
Make one low offer and then walk.
Dont forget Ebay. They have some good protection for buyers. I got my 00 WS6 A4 for 10k with 37k.

i payed $8000 for my 01 ws6 m6 107,000 miles, from private owner. only reason i bought it with 107k miles was because shes in great shape.as soon as i got her i put in about $900 in replacing parts and maintenance.ws6 are kind of hard to get under $10k. she drives great and feels solid. not a problem with her yet . good luck

As far as being over 100K miles, don't let that scare you off from a car.If it has been maintained properly and not beat to sh*t every day of the week,it could be a really good buy.My 00' SS had 146k miles on her and ran great...she needed new shocks, had to replace the stock clutch (yes I said stock lol ) and never used up oil.
Now THIS car you are looking at sounds over priced... The miles should be an excellent bargaining point for you though!
Good luck with what ever you decide..

Quick Silver- 2002 Z06
Sounds quite high for the miles...
I have two F-body's over 200k driving strong with no issues. I have had to rebuild both 6-speeds and replace shafts/bearings in the rear-ends but no major motor work except a broken push rod in the LS1

Ignition Orange/Black- 2008 G8 GT, 98 Z28 383
I used to sell cars. If they didnt get it on trade, they probably paid around 5 grand for it at the auction. The problem is, if you lowball them too much they know that some dumbass will more than likely buy the car for what they are asking for it or slightly less. It's worth a try though. I paid 8000 for my WS6 with 119K miles. It needed a few things but it runs excellent. Dont be too afraid of miles, these cars hold up well if you take care of them.
