Most people are going to say the longtubes because they add a bit more power than the LS6 intake and they make your car sound much meaner.

    I agree as well.

Also if you don't need the egr for smog in your area you can delete it, that way you can buy a ls6 manifold for cheaper...instead of getting slp one with provisions. That's just one way of getting both..

u could, but if you want longevity and looks, go with coated... pacesetter has a very affordable coated pair.... headers are better bang for the buck, then do the intake and get tuning.... HP, LS1edit... so on, i recommend that long before handheld programming crap... if your near any reputable shops after those mods, spend the time getting a dynotune IF you have the money... you will see more refned gains and a lil more MPG if you keep ur foot out of it, but they make a more efficient tune for your ocm than what came in the car.. GM makes very "safe" tunes so you dont lean out and fry motors, lots can be done to improve the car and dont forget the free mods... plus a 160 thermostat

But why LTs first.? That would be like breathing out your mouth and in through your nose. A car is like a big air pump. The better you take air in and out the better the car will run. Here is how I am doing mine.

    1. Ram Air Hood (check)
    2. SLP Lid (check)
    3. LTS, Y Pipe, and Exhaust (havent decided on which yet)
    4. Tune (followed right after above)

3 and 4 will be all together so it will be a bit expensive. But like this you will have good air flow in and good air flow out.

Get a set of Hookers and their y-pipe. Or if you wanna wait and save, go for Kooks Stainless 1-3/4 step to 1-7/8 w/ 3" collectors and their offroad Y-Pipe.

    FAST intake

How does the LS6 intake compair to the FAST 90mm Intake with a matching 90mm Nick Williams throttle body?

yes youre right but the stock manifolds are WAY more restrictive compared to the difference between an ls1 intake and the ls6. if you pushed more air in first you would choke the motor out, think about it. if you have a more free and high flowing exhaust the sky is the limit as far as incoming air (so to speak). plus the intake manifold wont do too much more IMO opinion without a bigger throttle body.
