no... for the price you'd pay you could buy another lt1 that has a 6 speed in it...

I plan on switching to a 6 speed. I know it's gonna cost some money, but I am just not that fond of the auto in my car. Plus my car is modded out so I wouldn't be able to by another car just like mine with a 6 speed.

I bet it'd be cheaper and easier to swap your motor into an M6 car and then sell the stocker a4. I had found an AMAZING 2002 SOM WS6 low miles 1 owner and all. I wanted it bad but the fact it was an A4 turned me off. I realized how much hacking and cutting and fitting and sourcing and downtime it would be to get an M6 in there with my skill and tools and I couldn't see myself doing that to a nice WS6. I held out and got my M6 hawk. Quite glad I did.

It would be cheaper, but easier is all in how you look at it. I have a completely rebuilt modded motor so I would have to swap motors out from both cars, I would rather not, not to mention the color of my car is hard to find, and it's not a WS6 so I don't really care if I have to do some cutting or what not. I have looked at a few M6 cars around where I live but everyone I have seen is either red or black and I don't want either color.

What about a shift kit, a cooler, and a nice stall.

It will be quicker than a similar powered M6 then.

I've got a shift kit and a 3,000 stall. I'm still not happy. Next month I will be getting some new gears, so maybe that will help. With my setup now I was able to kill an 02 Camaro SS 6speed, but his car was a stock LS1, mine is a modded LT1. We'll see what the gears do. A friend of mine has a similarly modded T/A with 4.10s in it and it pulls crazy hard, so that's what I am hoping for. I am gonna go with 3.73's though.

your 3k stall is a baby.......3600-4k at LEAST! and that is recommended for a stock ls1..so a lt1 i would assume is the same.

nooo it's not. keep in mind lt1's make torque a lottt lower than ls1's.
