    lifter tap?

    i have a lifter tap on my car i believe after doing some research is it safe you still drive the car. It just started yesterday.

    you'll want to fix it. If you have any mechanical skills (and a torque wrench) I suggest going at it yourself b/c there's a lot of work involved.

    its safe to drive it home to then work on it. . . .not the best idea to drive for long because a collapsed lifter can bend pushrods among other unfriendly things.

    i wont be able to work on it for 2 weeks but im going to replace the lifters, push rods. Anything recommended? i think im going to go with ls7 lifters. i dont know about the rods.

    i wouldn't really drive around with it for 2 weeks. you can just do lifters while youre in there as long as your pushrods arent bent. pushrods are cheap so if you have the money its certainly a might as well, especially if you plan on doing a cam swap later on.

    i know this will sound crazy 1 qt kerosene in with the oil run for 5 min then drain put new oil in and bottle of lucas that shit works

    Not crazy that "motor flush" crap is essentially kerosene. Just do'nt drive it with any of these in the crankcase. But you all prolly know that.
