Left Handed Shifting.
I broke my right arm (fractured radial head) about two weeks ago. I was riding my mountain bike and all of the sudden the front tire went one way and I flew the other at about 20mph. I was using a GPS app on my iphone, which the screen is now cracked because of the wreck.
Needless to say, I got pretty banged up from the whole thing. Besides my right arm, I got road rash down my left arm, and the entire underside of that is bruised like crazy. And I'm pretty sure I cracked a couple of ribs.
Anyways, try sometime to drive a manual with only your left hand. Loads of fun.

Ouch man, I feel for you
I'm a lefty to start with, so left handed shifting is a bit easier for me than for most. I do it on occasion, just for fun or when I have something in the right hand. Tried it a couple times in my old truck, it had a hard pull to the right, had to steer with the knee to keep me on the road while making the shift....felt like a circus clown
Hope you have a speedy recovery

That sucks! How long for recovery? Good luck, it would be better to not drive the TA at all then to drive and crash it!

Wow that does suck. Maybe you should drive an AT car until your healed, if you have some alternative ride. Also, you will feel like Superman when you get back in the TA.

Wish I had a second car. I am getting better at it though, just have to time it so I don't need to shift around corners.
I'm supposed to go in for a follow up on the 17th. We'll see how much longer then.

Having a broken left ankle with a clutch isn't any fun either. Did that one several years ago. I have broken numerious bones in my life, had surgery on my left arm because both bones were shattered and had to be put back together. Broken ribs 3 times and the broken ribs are the worst. Get well soon man. I know your agony right now

This thread exposes a serious flaw in my decisions of which cars to own.... seeing as both my hawk and my SC2 are manuals..... I must guard my right arm and left leg at all costs!!! Get well soon! That bird deserves to be driven with all 4 extremities!
