Go to the drivetrain section and read the "When will my 10 bolt break?" sticky.

you can get a new rear for $2000 and install yourself with a buddy. It's easy. But labor, It's about $500 depending where you go

Did you happen to miss a gear or two? Even with a horrible launch your times should be better than that. Pratice at stop lights it helps reaction time.

with street tires you'll just need to heat them up and let out the clutch smooth and quickly @ 1000 rpms-trust me, it'll work.

you won't get much of a jump if you're standing there spinning, hoss.

It is all in the driver and what the car can handle.

If you only have tires that will take a 1000RPM launch, you go with that.

I tried a 5800 RPM launch once. MT's didn't hold it so well. But I think it was the track that day as they didn't hold a 3500 launch either.

the ranger rear is an 8.8 just like the mustang just slightly wider track and while it is stronger than the stock f-body rear I wouldnt waste my time with it when the 12 bolt is readily available

Other than the fact that the ranger rear is 50 bucks from a junk yard and the 12 bolts are 2k-3k lol. I dont know what your talking about thirdshift cause i launch at 3000-3200 and i just chirp the tires and then the rpms just rise and im gone. Then again i just broke my car lol so no launching for a while
