Is it to late for some mods?

My 99 trans am has about 81K miles on it. I was wondering if its to late to mod it. I dont want to invest $ into it and 5,000 or 10,000 miles later i gotta trash it. I dont want to go overboard with the mods to. Just an intake and a new TB. Maybe some gears and MAF.

Just wondering... How well has it been taken care of? Ahhh screw that. Put exhaust on it. Header's y-pipe cat-back the total package. A intake is not worth the money unless your are gonna get a FAST intake with a 90mm TB.

Is there a difference between the "Fast intake" over the LS6 intake?

FAST have shown better gains through the powerband and they have room to port. Very much worth the money. As far as your situation, my buddy stuck a vortech on a 150k stock Z28 and he's got no probs. Go with the full bolts on's, you'l be fine just make sure you change out those pushrods. If you go with a cam, then it's a must if you want it to run for much longer

weiand's are known to heat soak, stick with the polymer manifolds. I had a weiand and on the dyno, I saw a difference in HP after a few pulls
