White- 1999 Transam WS6
Last purchase thread(I think):'99ws6 TA vs '00 TA
I've posted these two cars before, but I ask for your help again. Which of these would you more seriously consider?
Contender #1 2000 Transam

Contender #2 1999 WS6

The 2000 has less mileage, and is a newer year, but the '99 ws6 is a ws6 looks to be cleaner and has the upgraded bucket seats(third_shift studios ), but is of a lesser year and has more mileage.Last edited by Aetos; 06-16-2008 at 08:23 PM.

It looks clean, and I would take white over a dark car anyday
The price is kinda high though isn't it?

I actually agree...for my daily drivers. I LOVE my black WS.6 though.

Black one. The white one costs way too much.
To be honest both are a bit pricey.

I can see why you would love such a beautiful car.
I drive a black navigator alot though (when my camaro is on the lift), its hard to keep clean, and any imperfection will show once you wash the car.

I'd take the white WS6.

It depends on what mods you plan on doing. If you want a ram air hood, WS6 airbox, rims, and the good seats, etc go with the 1999 WS6. If you want that stuff and buy the 2000, you'll easily spend $2000 to add that stuff. The only reason I bought a non-WS6 T/A is because I got it for such a good price and could afford to buy the hood, intake, rims, and exhaust that I wanted. The 2000 seems very base and doesn't appear to be optioned well (i.e. seats, wheels, etc). The mileage difference is negligible. I'd go with the 1999, but you still need to get the price down.
1998 Trans Am, A4, SLP Loudmouth I, US Exotics WS9 ram air hood, Volant intake, 3.23's, 70k miles

I'd try to get the WS6, but it is a bit high.

I 100% want the ws6 hood and the rims are a money saver, I believe. I was planning on buying 315 tires with rims if I bought a stock TA, but I could easily live with 275s with stock ws6 rims(which look pretty good, IMO). The rims alone will save me close to a grand or so. The stock WS6 hood will also have a lot better fitment than most third party hoods, or so I've heard. So, thats also another plus. Also, if the seats are as amazing as third_shift makes them out to be I'm sure I'll love 'em.
It seems to be pretty unanimous towards the White WS6. That may be the car I am soon to own then. I will be going to one of these two dealers in the upcoming Monday.
My plans on the car are pretty lengthy to be done over the next coming years after my purchase. My final goals are to end with heads/cams (yea, like It will end there). My first mods will be small general ones, intake, short shifter, etc. My first major mod is gonna most likely be Kooks long tubes with TSP true duals hooked up to sweet thunders.

Good choice. The only reason I'd buy the 2000 T/A is if you could get it for closer to $10k and then you could put the difference you saved in mods. The 1999 should keep you satisfied and you won't have to spend $1000 on rims/tires and $1000+ on a decent, painted ram air hood.
