    K&N or Volant?

K&N seems to be the more popular, but is it the better choice. I do like the concept of volant's air box where is supposedly seals it off under the hood. Has anybody actually tested both of these. Any suggestions?

I have the K&N but i wanted the volant, just couldn't find anyone who would ship to canada 3 yrs ago. I would have rather had that one for sure!

I don't care for SLP's products so i didnt go with their lid, chose a different route and it works well enough

I have a K&N but I wished I had a volant. Volant has a piece that blocks off the area behind the filters which keeps it from sucking in all the hot air from around the engine where as K&N doesn't. Or well at least it does a better job in trying to keep it from doing so.

K&N if u have a non "ram air" CAI setup (SLP Flowpack). Volant if you have "ram air"..good to 2 extra hp at 100mph.

I chose a Volant because I liked the way it looked and seem to be designed more intuitively than the K&N one for my car. I didn't want just another lid like an SLP lid, etc.

What does it matter since the car isn't staying put..

+1 for volant but not impressed with fit for the price, I expected better. I just made some brackets to secure the radiator better other than that I like it.
