Just picked up my baby! Flew to KC

and got the keys. Working my way back to GA now, spending the night in St. Louis. 2002 WS6 vert, 875 miles, still smells new.

One issue....when I turn the lights on and off, they open and close pretty hard, sort of noisy. Is this normal?

Mine are noisy also. I have yet to find one that wasn't noisy yet.

That makes me feel better. I was wondering if something needed to be lubricated or if the motor that opens them was out of kilter.

I had a 99' and it was the same. Never bothered me though, as they sound real solid. From what I hear the plastic gears will eventually wear out. Congrats on your extreme low mileage purchase, I pick up my 10,000 mile 2002 on Saturday.

So you are currently in St. Louis? Welcome to the neighborhood! I live about 40 miles west of the city.
We are flying to Wisconsin Saturday to pick up my new baby. Spent the day cleaning up the garage today.... Wow was it hot!

Yep, they do close pretty hard. The only thing you will ever have to change in the headlight setup is the gear to a brass one. After a while the gear strips and the replacements are brass so you won't have that problem again

I'm holed up in St. Charles about 20 miles west of St Loius, I think. We had to clean out our garage Sunday for my baby and I feel your pain about the heat.
