Is it just me or is this an insane deal?

Well if you guys read my other thread my Z28 was totalled by a couple of old hags running a red and a firetruck, so I'm in the market for a bird

I found this the other day, called the dealership, talked a bit with them, pulled up a carfax, and everything checks out, I'm gonna have her shipped by the end of today

what do you guys think?

oh ok, they prob brought it down cuz I said I was going to buyit.

It's a white 2002 T/A 71k miles, M6, WS6 hood, WS6 rims, hurst shifter, completely stock otherwise, asking price is 7900 O.B.O lowest I've found yet

I would say run the vin to make sure it's what they say it is, and usually when it's that low there is some sort of issue with the car they don't want to fix, usually a head gasket or something like that.

I ran the vin and no issues came up, but that's exactly what I was thinking. They said the car is completely stock and there's nothing wrong with it. I'm sorta forced to take their word on it simply because there's no way I can get anyone down there to look at it.

Sounds pretty sharp.... white is kewl! I`m looking at picking up a second TA.. It`s a 99 pewter convertible sevan series! After seeing one... its become an infatuation.. and it only has 67k and the clock! Looking for a R.O. Evans plate frame... to go with it! I have a buddy in garland looking... but unless your a car guy...most people don`t car about little things like that

Pewter convertables are sick as well, good luck with that. Reason I wanna jump on it is because of the low miles, you just can't find them with low miles like that around here anymore.

according to carfax its never been in an accident or anything, so yeh, they just really want the cash. They said the car's been sitting in the same spot for about a week and nothing's leaking from it or anything. A/C works, shifts smoothly, no piston slap.

Looks good,just the front DS corner appears to be a little out of shape.

Look at the body gap between the fender and valance.

Your in Texas,take drive over there and take it out for a spin and check it over.

yeh I saw that too, I really want to but it's a 10hr drive :/

You never know. I got an extra gauge cluster in the garage that only reads 100k. You can buy them off ebay cheap.

I dunno the fact that it's cash only kinda makes it sound a lil odd, not to mention the huge gap on the drivers side the hood is not lining up very well, it may have gotten a love tap at some point. That and it's off craigslist can't say I trust that place a whole lot.

Ok we decided to play it safe and go with a silver T/A here locally, simply because we also felt that it all just sounded too iffy and that we didn't want to take a day off from work to just go and check it out. work>car. honestly I also like this silver one better simply because it already has headers on, so I dont' have to deal with that, I just have to find tips.
