Yep too many dumb kids I see around here wrecking even the Formys and T/a's. Cant handle the power. My dads car has 420hp and i drive it daily..no problems. Except 2 speeding tickets, but you have to figure that in to the deal when you buy a high-po car.

Congrats! I had just turned 18 when I bought myself a 1996 Mustang Cobra. I've never owned anything but domestic V8 RWD performance oriented vehicles and I've always respected the power. Never any problems. Be careful out there.

just to try and help every one out i am a new owner of an ss 2000 model but in the past i have found that getting a setup that is called pre paid legal is the best thing i have ever done. i pay 17 dollars a month and i have access to a lawer 24/7. works for ny thing but drug charges and i am not sure about dwi's but i know its great for speeding tickets and such. www.pplmbr.com is there site. i know it is a members only site but i think it has a link to a info site. anyway just trying to help cuz it keeps my ass out of the fire as many tickets as i get and my license is clean as a wistle. no points against this guy. hope it helps yall with a lead foot out

Haha I think the older guys should be able to enjoy them too :-).. I am only 17 though.. I got my 00 Ws6 about 2 months ago now, my dad and I flew down to FL and then drove it back up to NJ while i was 16. I paid for most of it already i still owe about 2000 to my dad but i had been working 2 jobs for 3 years. I love the car though and it was worth every penny.. now i just have to worry about getting by with gas everyweek :-( Goodluck to all the other new LS1 drivers!

It should be keep away from the C6's that have good drivers. I was shocked when I went to infineon and had to race a 03 ZO6 and beat it running a 13.09 I am now a very firm believer in the driver makes the car not the car makes the driver.
