just got a mild tune this weekend...

and let me tell you, it's awesome!!!

Actually it really is. I got it from a local guy with hp tuners and a lot of knowledge and experience. He gave my buddies tbss a full tune, and then i just went with a mild one since i have minimal supporting mods. Killed all the sensors/codes in the computer, and just played a lil with the fuel mapping, etc. I honestly can really feel a difference (sorry no dyno #'s) with the way the car reacts shifting into each gear has improved immensely, and in general i feel a little bit more pull. It's not my daily driver so I haven't played with it too much yet, but i'm definitely satisfied. Now I just have to re learn how to drive my car and stop trying to beat the 'skipshift' into 2nd gear

and a pic for the illiterate

Just what exactly do all sensor/codes to the computer consist of?

egr, air, rear 02's, skip shift, evap stuff. mostly it tells the emissions related sensors not to report any problems and your SES light will not come on for those.

I wasn't really asking what they did, I know. I was curious to exactly what codes he turned off for you

watching him do that really makes me want to start playing around with some tuner software. Seems way more fun than changing out jets and needles.

He had it tuned out. He's trying to do the driver mod now lol. When you have it, you try to get to second gear before it comes on. He's saying he doesn't need to do that anymore, but still does because it's habit.

Why wouldn't you want the engine light to come on for those. They hurt MPG and performance if they don't work. I would want to fix them

maybe i'm missing something here.... last i checked, our cars don't need the EGR, AIR, or rear o2's(the actual parts) to function properly.

When they arent tuned out and they sense a problem thats when they cause bad mpg and change fueling. When they are tuned out they do nothing and the tuner does the fuel mapping.

Rear O2's are to make sure the cats still work IE clogged or etc.... which I would want to know.
