Uhh push it and see what it does................I'd bet the guy who had it before you was running whore-lights or was a dumbass and had neons under it depending on what the switch looks like.

White w/Blue stripes- 99 Trans Am WS6 30th#1588
Looks like a standard light switch that comes with most light kits. When I had my jeep with KC lights, all three switches looked just like that.

Flame Red / Orange Custom- 1998 Trans Am
yeah all the fan switch dose is turn on the Fans for the radiator you can test it by flipping the switch on when the car is on and if they turn on then thats what it is. If it dose nothing then its not the fan switch. and it could be hooked up to nothing at all also try asking the previous owner about it he/she might know. hope this helps.

Almost looks like speaker wire running from the switch. I would poke around under the hood, behind the trim panels, under the door sills and such and see if you can locate that type of wire as it should be easy to spot. Then just trace it to see where it goes. I agree that it is probably for aftermarket lights or e-cutouts. Other possibilities would be a power antenna overide, brake line lock, remote amplifier turn-on, DRL override, or a brake light override. Probably too many wires for most of those, but who knows?

Custom Swirly Black- 2001 WS6 M6
I agree, I've installed countless types of switches.
I would start tracing the wire (since whatever the switch activates isn't obvious). Too many people think they know what they are doing when it comes to electronics/electricity, when they don't, so the possiblities are endless. Pulling back alittle carpet, loosening a couple screws/bolts and having a helping hand is the best route.
