    Just cleaned my MAF OMG

I cleaned it and I bought myself a new car. Thanks guys holy shit it hauls ass now. I burn the tires up until it hit 6100rpm hit rev limiter and then it shifted and it's automatic. I like it I like it a lot. Now I just need a new gas filter and new plugs.

How dirty was it? Because I might consider doing this if it made that big of a difference!

    ok

    1. Take the maf out by using a flat head srew driver and removing the 2 plugs 1 on the air box 1 on the maf.

    2. Take the air box maf of the throttle body clean the throttle body.

    3. Take the maf of the elbow and air box.

    4. Spray the electrical cleaner or maf cleaner to the maf and do not touch the wires spray the shit out of it on each side and let dry it dryes in 2 minutes and put back togheter.

    5. Drive the bag off of it.

    Cheers

was there any visible dirt or grime on it? seems really hard to believe that this would provide such results, i just put on a S3 TB and LSx tune and i have LT's and mine wont burn through 1st unless i dump the clutch

It must of been pretty dirt or you just need new tires.

My car felt like the motor was going, no power, hesitation. I'd jam it to the floor and it would have a hard time burning tires now holy new car. Obviously my MAF was very dirty and the throttle body was black. That little door that opens was full of carbon or something.

Should always keep the air filters, TB and mass Air cleaned. I do my filters every 3 months or when they look dirty. The TB and mass air i clean every 6 months.

What the hell does it do it measures air flow I guess but it could be a better set up. I wonder if an after market maf works better?

Unless your engine is heavily modded after market maf is bad they are nothing but trouble from what alot of people have said when they put them in.
