VW BEETLE W/ FLOWER- 88 CRX
i've been X'd
if some of you remember back when i first joined,i was wondering about a good muffler to get for my car to make it a deep and controlled sound with no rasp. well time went on and i got my headers...which gave it a louder (but not to loud to make me go insane) and raspy sound .and i found out i liked that sound after it was said and done. well now that im getting ever so close to my H/C swap and some other goodies, i'll be pushing close to the area of 500 HP (flywheel) + one of them 100 dryshot nitrous kits. so i find out that my little y-pipe wont be doing my mods very much justice. so i make the decision to go duals. ...not a fan of loud things so i look at a 2 1/2 X pipe..this way it doesnt get to horribly loud...but with the nos i had to upgrade to the 3"
moral of the story. my car is so loud i scared an old man on the highway with his windows down in his new charger made him hit the brakes and cover his ears while watching me fly by.
3" X in dynamax mufflers dumped behind the axles. sounds real good at full throttle. just not when putting around town(hopefully H/C will change the sound some.

heads and cam will make the tone louder the rasp my car has is an unpleasant sound to say the least, does the car no justice, only time it sounds good is wide open

Sorry to be dumb, but I'm still not sure what you guys mean by "rasp"? What are you hearing to call it raspy? The only thing I can think of off hand, is a rice burner fart can sound.
