and I thought I was the only one who knew that lid leaked like a swiss cheese canoe!

I don't know the how's or why's and personally I just don't understand it myself. But I know my ass felt the difference considering the sportlines were on for three months and the pro kit has been on one month since my ownership.

My very girly, hating on cars, into boys right now, daughter could even tell the difference.

    Not entirely true.
Some don't fit worth a crap because people start throwing foam tape & stuff at'em.
If they are installed with a general OE type replacement element, they fit fine if installed correctly.
No foam tape required. The foam around the stock type filter will seal just fine.
    Been there, done that.
Obviously JodiB has too now, ...

Glad ya no issues gettin' it installed!

On to the springs, ..., contact Sam Strano over on LS1Tech, or his website, & see what he could offer up for options.

I purchased a replacement "Ram Air" decal and it covers the SLP logo perfectly. Only issue was adhesion to the lid. Despite cleaning and degreasing it, the decal simply will not adhere well to the textured plastic. I have to smooth it down from time to time. I recently bought some double sided adhesive that I am going to try when the weather warms back up.

You mentioned the cats rattle. GM extended the warranty on our cats so you might just be able to get them replaced by the dealership. Obviously now you have to go to a Chevy dealer and they may not know about the extension. If not have them look up Subject: 05513 - SPECIAL COVERAGE ADJUSTMENT - CATALYTIC CONVERTER EXTENDED WARRANTY.

    The coverage is:
    Condition
Some customers of 2000-02 Chevrolet Camaro and 2000-02 Pontiac Firebird model vehicles, equipped with a 5.7L V8 (RPO LS1 - VIN G) engine, may experience a failure of the left or right catalytic converter.

    Special Coverage Adjustment
This special coverage covers the condition described above for a period of 10 years or 120,000 miles (193,000 km), whichever occurs first, from the date the vehicle was originally placed in service, regardless of ownership. The repairs will be made at no charge to the customer.

    Luck!
