    Issues

Does anyone know how to remove the Skip Shift? Can it be as simple as taking out a fuse? This sounds dumb but does anyone elses car vibrate or jerk when going from stop to go. (2002 Trans Am 6 Speed)

    Thanks ahead of time

    Tune it out.
Costs about the same as the eliminator.

They make a plug in skip shift eliminator - SLP makes one and I believe there are other brands too. You can also have a tuner eliminate it. As for the vibration or jerking, that's a little harder to pinpoint with the info - or lack of - that you gave. My car is a m6 as well and I don't notice anything that would concern me - so you may very well have a problem. It could range anywhere from your clutch, mounts, suspension, ect. Need a little more input to better diagnose.

    Sadly now demodded :(

I had it tuned out on my 98 + I have no vibration problems during acceleration or deceleration.

As stated, we need more info on that one...

Have you ever had a car with a clutch before?

Thanks that actually sounds really easy to get rid of skipshift. My car vibrates when I slowly let out the clutch and below 1,500RPM's. It doesnt do it above 1,500 I was just wodering if it was a commom problem? Yes this is my first standard and yes I have only owned it for a couple weeks. Its a big vibration everything shakes but maby its just me and its not getting any worse. Thanks for all the inputs.

The Radio Shack resistor is the cheapest easiest way, mines been trouble free since Summer 1998. As far as the Vibration under 1500 rpm launch well that just means you need more practice.

Sounds like either a misfire problem or an aftermarket clutch chatter/shudder. Some clutches have so much grip that it is hard to regulate the slip as you take off. They just act like on/off switches and there's not much middle ground. That good for drag racing, but bad for street drivability

if your not use to driving a clutch it sounds like your not giving it enough gas to take off maybe have some one drive it that normaly drives manuals and see if it does it
