    Intake Question?

Ok i have to buy a new air filter for my WS6 now i was wondering should i just buy a cheap filter for now until i can afford the SLP intake? Also is the 300.00 + dollars worth the 10 HP it would give or is there a different route i could take with this?

Of course, if we are talking about the intake manifold...the LS6 intake is expensive. That is worth it though.

i had a lid before i got that and it seemed to not flow as good as the K&N but a lid is cheaper.

Go with the SLP lid. For just about 100 it's worth it over stock. You don't need a fancy filter just keep a clean one in there and you will be fine. If you want a hair more from the mod do the free ram air mod and get a fernco coupling, don't waste your money on a "smooth bellows" for 60 bucks when a 6 dollar coupling from home depot does the same thing.

should be good for a SOLID 10 whp all together. Maybe a bit more if you are lucky. I don't see a lid, fernco, and a dremeled tray getting more than that.... but for a total expense of like 110 bucks is that a bad thing lol.

I am for sure going to go with the SLP lid and Blackwing filter which should cost me around 130.00 not bad would adding a SLP MAF give a add boost and if so how much? i am going to run a full ram air removing the piece that blocks the hood nostrils i think it should work. What do you guys think? i am going to home depot tomorrow will take a look at that fernco coupling you can get it at Home depot right?

to answer your question about the SLP MAF......leave it alone, changing your MAF will give you more problems than anything else

removing the baffles from the hood can sometimes lead to water entering your intake, may not be a good idea if you daily drive this car because of the rain etc.
