It won't hurt you, but it won't help you either. Until you fall into a different demographic, ie turn 21, get married, or become female, you're stuck with the highest premiums charged. Keeping a squeaky clean record is expected. It won't score you any brownie points. But if you do get a ticket, wreck, DUI etc, they will rape you hard.

If you make good grades you can get a discount at State Farm and driver ed helps too. I don't think having a motorcycle licenses will help. A TA would be a tough learning car, but what do I know I'm a pothead.

WS6 or not, and car in the class of a trans am is gonna set ya back a mile for insurance. My friend was quoted at $3500 a year for a 98 trans am.

Not necessarily, a friend of mine age 20 was quoted that and his record is spotless. Not all the quotes were that high, he ended up with State Farm for 200 a month for WS6 and a jeep. It went down some when he turned 21.

I have 1 speeding ticket, 23 yrs. old, no wrecks. I have an 01 ws.6 I pay $2040.00 per year or $170 per month with $250 collision deductible and a $50 comprehensive deductible. When I first got my car it was $220 per month or $2640.00 per year .It went down considerably when I turned 23. My ex wife, now back together (dont ask) pays around $250 per month for a damn 01 civic with no tickets and 1 wreck! Ain't that some shit?

I have a 2000 WS6, and the insurance was GOING to be $4,000 a year by myself, with no tickets on my record. Age 21.

I created a policy with two cars, a 1990 Buick Century, and my WS6. I put that I drive the buick the most, and he drives the WS6 the most... the WS6 is the 'pleasure' vehicle, and I don't drive to school or work.

I got it for $2,000 for the whole year.

and to keep the flames rollin'... MOST people can't switch the 6speed fast enough/accurately enough to make their times faster... but it IS more fun to most people...

I drive rush hour all the time and a 6spd was out the question... now I sorta wish I had it because it just gives you more control, and I really don't care if I would be slower...

The automatics tend to loose power in the driveline, If you know how to drive, the manual 6spd will usually post faster quarter mile time than an auto.

When I get really old and can't lift my left foot then I'll think about an auto, but not before that! Anyone can shift a M6 faster that a stock A4 they are so slow soft shifting that you can nap between gears

I know that, but talking stock. Most people don't get them built. Although the factory M6 shifter sucks! I thought I was rowing a boat at first. I think some trucks have shorter shifters. I had to order the pro 5 in the first week of buying the car.

It does not matter if it's a WS6 or not, the VIN comes up as Formula/Trans Am.
I'm 20, not tickets or accidents, 1000 deductibles= about $300 a month for full coverage.

it would be more than silly to get the policy under soley your name and actually pay $300 a month... clearly you would get it under someone else's and pay like $150
