Insurance.... Holy cow
lol What is it with insurance on a bird? I can't believe it is so much. They told me $1500 a year, so in total I'm paying basically $3000 a year for a 96 Tahoe with full coverage and a 2000 TA with full coverage. Goood lord....
I was first looking into getting a v-6 and they said with dual car discount etc it would raise my insurance $50 per month for 2 vehicles instead of 1. So I was hoping a v-8 would not be too much more. I was wrong.
I plan on storing the TA for the winter... Any ideas on just storage insurance being cheaper then regular insurance?
I have 1 speeding ticket on my record.
Anyone know of any insurance companies that cater to us bird lovers more then others?

multi-car discount?
Claim the tahoe as your daily driver. I have 2 cars as well, and it's not nearly that high.

My advice is to put the T/A on Hagerty Ins. Only real requirements are over 21 and another vehicle to drive daily.
Also Age has everything to do with Insurance Premiums I'm almost 40 with Zero points and I pay less then $800 a year for Full coverage.Craig

i'm 32 with 1 ticket for I think 10 over.....I can't recall I think it was 5 over cause they said it would give me no points..... I would've fought it but I just so happened to forget my wallet that day running late for work so I had no proof of insurance or nothing... lol Cop was cool though.
I am through state farm now I think. I go through one of them agencies who have like 20 companies who they are supposed to find the best price for you.
My house is through home owners so I think I am gonna have to see where I can cut some corners.
I did this over the phone so I'm hoping if I can actually get down there and talk to someone maybe I can get a better price.

Yeah, the F-bodies are expensive to insure- seems like lots of them are owned by younger guys that go fast and crash them- according to my insurance agent, 'vettes are cheaper to insure- even though they are a two-seater, and faster....
To go to the Z from an LT1 powered Caprice, my insurance went up by about $400 a year-

I didn't think Haggerty would insure these cars unless they are 1986 or older.

The vette and my truck are 1400 a year with full coverage through erie or TLA whichever you want to call it. Not sure on wifes suburban, but pretty sure it's cheap as well. Can't believe what you guy's pay for insurance. The T/A isn't covered as it's a track only car. American family, all state and any of those online companys are complete crap and rape you for payments. Erie, AIG, or your local state insurance companys are much better.

Bright Red- 1999 Trans Am Ws6
750 for six months and your complaining, you realize some of us pay over a grand for six months even though we have no tickets or wrecks just for the fact we are young? After I get rid of this thing I will have paid for it and some in insurance payments. ROBBERY! Then again, they think it only has 320 stock hp. SO THE JOKES ON THEM!

BLK/BLK w/CGM Stripes- 2010 Camaro 2SS/M6
Three cars on Progressive ... '01 Focus and '03 Explorer fully covered and the '98 T/A with the most basic coverage (for now, just so I can get it on the road until the winter) and I pay $170/mo. Would have been like $220 for all the cars fully insured with $5K in upgrades to the T/A but I opted for the bare minimum on the T/A for now 'cos money is tight and I barely drive it ... I've also been with them since '03 and they gave me discounts for being a college graduate and married ... oh, and age=27 here

I have a 2002 WS6, 2002 Firehawk, 1998 TA, 1987 Formula 350 and a 2008 Ford F350 PS 4x4 and I pay $210 a month to State Farm...all are full coverage with 250 dedectible on collision and $0 comp.
And figured in on the price is insurance on a 06 Polaris Sportsman 700...$1000 deductible on it though.
