Well if it was three years ago it no longer affects your driving record, after 3 years the points are given back for accidents/citations

my insurance isn't bad and today it came in handy. I am getting a brand new paint job due to acid rain eating away at my clear coat. I am not sure if you guys know this ,but it is covered under comprehensive. I will not be paying a dime.

24 / $115 a month. 50K/100K/50K coverages. Will drop to $75 when I turn 25 in November. YeeeeeeHaww!!!!! Advantages of my family having been with Statefarm for so many years.

I am and Insurance Agent (not with statefarm) and can tell you that there are a lot of factors that determine what your premium will be. They will factor your age and the type of vehicle you drive and some companies are even using your credit score as a factor. Being 16, I would go to an agent and have the vehicle show your dad/mom's name as primary driver with you as a secondary driver. This will lower the premium significantly. And if you use your parents company they will give a multi-line discount on it as well.

You can check out the free quotes online to get an idea. Although, I did check myself once and all of them wanted 3x as much as current premium.

Good luck, and if you get it, Welcome to the club!!!

Alot of it depends on the population of the area your in and the types of driving conditions you see. I would say it probally is considering Cali has the highest population in the US

I know they also factor in the amount of auto theft for the zip code, because i saved 25 dollars a month when i moved from one side of my city to the other.
