Insurance
Hey I am 16. there is a 2001 black ta ws6 that I am going to buy. I need to know what insurance may cost. I live in California if that helps, I have a clean record since i got my license 4 months ago. I was wondering what some of your insurance cost are.

I'm going to say about 1 arm and 1 leg!! I know when I got my first sports car (an 89 formy). Being 17 all I had money for was gas and the insurance and that was only liability. I couldn't even imagine full coverage being that young.

I bought my 2001 WS6 when i was 18 and my insurance was 155 dollars a month. 500 deductable, 50,000 dollars in liability, full coverage on my car, all the good stuff. I used insuranceanswerscenter.com to get mulitple quotes and enden up going with Safeco. Geico wanted 375 dollars a month for the same level of coverage!

There actually are big differences in prices even with the same coverage, the company that insured me on my truck wanted 120 more per month than the company i chose to go with. I usually go to an insurance broker and they'll find the best deal for you and they only charge like a fifty dollar fee.

2000 Silver WS6 M6- 2002 Black Tahoe
Shop around and take advantage of free quote websites. There's so many variables involved, but the ones against you would be:
* under 25
* single male
* muscle car
My premium is only $400 every 6 months for full coverage thru progressive (500 ded) but I get the following discounts:
* over 25
* married
* homeowner
* multiple car
* clean driving record (for the past 10 years)
Honestly, I couldn't even imagine having a Trans Am when I was 16. I drove a 1986 Grand Am 4 door. LOL!!! I've always wanted a muscle car but didn't get my first one until I was over 25 because insurance would have been a joke!
