    Installing Strano Springs

I received my Strano springs today and was all set to install them until I went to slip the top rubber mushroom over them that came off the old stock springs. Obviously the Strano spring is a bigger diameter and the springs will not set into the rubber mushroom.
Is this rubber mushroom something that you leave out when putting in the Strano springs or other after market suppliers? If you eliminate the rubber mushroom should you add some type of lubricant to the top coil? Naturally Strano is closed now and I would like to get these installed tonight.
Your replies would be greatly appreciated.

Ok, now how am I ever going to live this one down ?
The springs fit the rubber boots perfectly !
Yep, I hastily opened the box and with my sticky little fingers and pulled out the top spring and didn't bother to check if it was for the front or back. Yeah, well, the rear springs were underneath the fronts.
The good news is that no one is going to be asking me for technical help for one hell of a long time.
I knew not putting my picture in any of my posts was a smart move.

Yeah, but at 67 years of age one would think I should know better. Anyway, I figured the forum could use a good laugh. Naturally, they went in like greased lightning.
