Its good to hear you finally got the sfc's and lid installed. The SFC install is so expensive I think because the seats and carpet need to be removed so they don't catch on fire. Did your guy do this? Can anyone confirm or deny if its necessary to remove the seats and carpeting to weld in SFC's?

Well I work Part time in a speed shop so I was able to get mine welded on for no charge. If I was a paying customer, and I brought the SFC to him he would of charged 150.00 - 200.00 to weld them in as well. Even though it seems a bit expensive, they first have to prep the cars surface and the SFC. so that the weld looks nice and pretty. then weld them in and we prime the surface and airbrush the GM color back on the car, so it has a clean look.

I paid $100 to have my SFC's welded in at my exhaust shop. Guy did a great job and it's been holding for 3 years and counting

yeah that's more what i thought it should cost.. but the guy who normally does my exhaust didn't have a powerful enough welder to do it..

yeah i'm sure they feel stronger too, plus you wouldn't ever have to worry about them becoming loose or anything like that..
