nope saturdays my day, luckily the buses go from my place to the mall(where radioshack is) and then back by my place before going to the campus so i wont need a ride this time pray for me, i'm hoping the resistor trick will fix the problem

glad it worked out for you. Like cutlass said....get some solder on that so it's a permanent fix and doesn't work itself loose at some point.

I couldn't even get a shout out on the video huh??

its all soldered together solid, retaped it and when i get another free day i might install a 'kill switch' to break the connection when i leave the car somewhere shady.

Wow, never knew so much was involved with an ignition key. Daughters 98 Cutless had similiar starting problems with a "security code" warning, dealer replaced the ignition switch and whatever else to fix the problem. Sometimes it would start and other times wait 10-15 minutes before another attempt was made to start it.

I did the resistr mod when the vats went screwy in my 99 formula and it helped but it still would act up on occasion...I eventually had a tuner turn off the Vats in the program in my pcm and in conjunction with the resistor i havent had a problem since

Mine just started doing this.. is there a part i can buy to fix it? Cause im no good at doing any type of wiring. Seems that box you made i would prob mess up some where.

Glade yours works, mine does it 3 out of 5 times, once i had to wait 5 mins before it would start..

from left to right a voltemeter(like $15 at walmart)

a saudering iron and sauder ($10 walmart)

    and resistors ($2 radioshack)

you can buy the sauder and voltemeter at radioshack but they are about 3x the price

i had never saudered before i did this so just about anyone can do it

youll need to disconect this connector under your dash:

and cut the orange/white one off with as much extra wire as possible, then, i needed to sauder three diferent value resistors to the snipped connector, but you may only need 1 or two to get in range this is basically what i did for a perma fix
