Red- 1998 Trans Am WS6
I'm an A$$hole
I stopped by the store this morning. It had a bare, odd-shaped parking lot almost resembling a culdesac. With my shopping complete, I get into my WS6 Trans Am (which, like all of you, is my 'baby') and procede to pull forward out of my parking space, effectively rolling over the first of the parking curbs and sandwiching my front wheels between the pair. I had to burn some rubber in REVERSE bc I wasn't going to subject my whole undercarriage to the torture. Everything seems fine but nonetheless: I am an A$$HOLE. My own fault, I know, but FML.

To make you feel better, I was backing out of a parking space about a year ago and to my surprise I hit a curb. No damage but it woke me up...I swear it came out of nowhere

I agree with TmexicanA, those curbs see a hot car and just gotta ruin it...or try to. That's my story and i'm sticking to it...

wish I was there watching. it's one of those moments like when you fall down, you get up quickly and look around to see if anyone was looking. Glad you didn't damage your baby!

We've all had something like that happen. When I barely got my 02 ws.6 I went over a sidewalk like about 3 feet long at school, all of my car went over it. I swear I hadn't seen it before but I was in such a hurry to catch up to my friend and his cobra (yes I smoke him ) but anyways it sucked and its a sidewalk that's just randomly put there like they had extra cement and decided to make a sidewalk 3 feet wide and 7 feet long, it has no purpose there whatsoever but to get in cars ways, it probably would've ruined everything if my car was lowered already. I still feel dumb for that

I haven't done that in my TA yet but misjudged a few big speed bumps and my ORY has the scars to prove it. I have a Trailblazer for a DD even with the 22's I can still jump some curbs just gotta watch the speed.

not too long ago. i only had like 2 or 3 weeks with my ws6 . the road had snow and ice on some places. and i was driving carefully.but then i stop on a stop sign. i though i would be fun to spin the tires a little. well i had turn the stering wheel but it went strait and hit the hard snow on the passager side. it broke the inner fender and some scrashes. i felt so bad and stupid. sense then i have not spin the tire on my car not even when is dry and with alot of space...

I would be afraid of snapping my rear end in dry conditions. I would only spin them in wet weather in an open area hah.
...and Ive hit the concrete thing in the parking lots. It was slanted and the metal peice keeping it down was sticking up. Not my fault, I got reimbursed. It was the lot owners negligence. It punched a hole in my front bumper.Last edited by innerchi89; 03-26-2010 at 05:24 AM.
