    Ignition stuck in run position..

My ignition cylinder is stuck in the run position, it can't be turned back or go forward to start. Is it possible anything else is bad or is it simply a broken ignition cylinder? When replacing it can I simply get a new cylinder and key of the same resistance value? If I do need to program a new key does anyone know if it is possible to do without access to a tech 2? I have access to a snap-on verus, does anyone know if it can be used to program new keys? Thanks for any info..

this might be a dumb question, but is you steering wheel locked? cause if so just turn it, and the key should come out...OR try wiggling your shifter when its in park, that might work too
