I hate my life!
I want to end it all. I was loading a 46" Samsung DLP HDTV into the back of my Hawk (that's what these cars are made for right?) and I have a moving blanket over my quarter panel and I just set the TV down on it for a second to get a better grip. Anyhoo, I get the TV in the car and get home and when I go around to the back I notice 3 freakin dents in my quarter panel! 1 of them is really bad. Looks like hail dings, but like if the hail stones were cube-shaped. The TV wasn't that heavy, I could lift it easily by myself, but my quarter panel couldn't handle it for a second? WTF?!?!!? The paint is ok, so I'm going to check out a dent repair place today, but I'm afraid I may be stuck with it. I hate myself and deserve to die.

Make sure you do it on video and get someone to post it, I hate threads being left open-ended.....no pun intended with that last word there

My life is a- Ben Stiller movie.
It wasn't your TV. Those dents are a result of body flex. Very common in these cars when ragged on w/out subframe connectors.

I have subframes. And they weren't there until yesterday. It's about an inch above my antenna.

I guess it's not too bad, but since I know right where it is, that's the first place my eyes go to and it makes me want to throw up.

I take it you already had the TV out of the box?
Blanket or no blanket, take any half-heavy object that is flat on the sides and rest it on a curved surface and all that weight lands on one small spot, you're going to get denting. Don't feel so bad though, a year or so ago I was moving my new vertical air compressor in my pickup standing up, didn't have it strapped down sufficiently (should've removed the cardboard box cover and strapped directly to the pump on top), sucker fell over 1/4 mi from home and dented the top of my tailgate. Then in the process of standing it back up to assess the damage, then lay it back down to take back for exchange, I lost my grip and it landed on the top of my cab and broke the back window. Glad I didn't have my 9mm handy that night.

dont feel to bad I got home a few weeks ago to find my roommates daughter dragging rocks down my original cherry midnight blue paint job on my 00 SS. At the same time his dogs were chewing off pieces of the front bumper. It was like a nightmare, I wanted to just cry. Wiped out my whole paint Job!

Red Tint Jewelcoat- 2008 Trailblazer SS
A good paintless dent repair place should be able to get those out for fairly cheap.
Good luck!!
Even with subframe connectors my car has a slight dimple from 1.6 short times at the track.

ok, i just paid $85 to remove the 4 dings. 3 are gone completely, but the 1 big deep one left a little reminder for me. It's not as noticable now, looks like a paint flaw more than a dent, but i still long for the days when my quarter panels were flawless.

mmm guiness... our cars are not stools, coasters, tables places to set things.... a place to organize paper... wish people would learn not to touch them.
call the dent doctor. and lean your lesson.... but you must put 3 dents in your own rear quarter first hehehehe.
