    Navy Blue Metallic
    '00 Formy A4

    I freakin' LOVE my Bird.

I spent a few hours of quality time with the Bird yesterday, I washed it, cleaned the wheels and tires, and cleaned the interior.

After I was done I took it for a nice cruise.

Right now I can see it out my window sitting there shinning in the sun, and I'm just thinking to myself "damn, I love that car".

It's only a car, but there's just something about them that gets into your blood.

I totally agree. Hard to sit in garage and not stare at it.

The navy blue has a nice effect when just polished. I always get compliments and some people think it's a custom color. When you put all the hard work in detailing your car all day it feels good when people let you know how good of a job you have done

It really does! Even when mine isn't freshly waxed, between the shine and the reflection of the clouds, the paint just has such a liquidy look to it, it looks amazing. It's hard to describe, but I'm sure you know exactly what I mean.

    Red
    1995 Trans Am 6 Speed

My ride is a 95 TA, red with t-tops, 6 speed, uplift spoiler and cloth interior. Headliner, seats re-done to OEM. A rust spot, about the size of a 1/2 dollar by gas door just repaired with new metal and color matched. Otherwise the paint is stock with road rash on the hoot, cracking paint on the beak. Overall, a survivor in condition 3.

Every week someone comes up and asks 'what type of car it that?" Most time at interestions I catch drivers gawking as they go by. One time I could see a discussion going on inside an SUV where both driver and passinger keep looking, pointing my way. "what is that red car, is it a Corvette?)

Yes, there seems to be a lot of interest in the old bird. Which does lift my spirits as keep questioning myself everytime a Ford commercial comes on "do I want a new muscel car Mustang with 300 + HP, 6 speed, 0 percent for 72 months, full warranty, LOTS of after market parts and proven 40+ years of popularity? With driving Trans Am for 28 years, always seems the Firebird was lower down on the popularity compared to the Camero and Mustangs.

But, on the other hand when I turn 64, I can drive the Bird to the Antique Auto Club of America (AACA) show at Hersey PA and roll right in as she'll be 25 then. Providing the AACA doesn't change the rules to allow cars 30 years old instead of 25 years!
