I finally got one!!
I just bought a 1999 Trans Am black on black automatic!!! 66,000 miles
As soon as i get some pics im gonna put them up!!
By the way i have a question....When i drive it the steering isnt as easy as any other car ive driven. Its a little harder than regular cars now im wondering is that normal because of what it is (being a heavy duty muscle car that is)? or does this sound like a possible problem? I checked the power steering liquid and all is well so i went under the car. I didnt see anything wrong the only thing i saw was one of the rack and pinion steering boots has what seems to be a darker stain maybe a grease stain kinda? but i dont see anything leaking out of it. Any help or comments would be appreciated!!
Thanks guys! and im happy to be the owner of a TRANS AM!!! finally!

SOM- 99 Trans Am
Welcome! You've been caught for life now haha. But as for the steering, nothing to worry about. Its the sports car feel, its pretty much due to the wide tires up front.

Pewter- 2002 T/A WS6
Enjoy!! That stiff steering is NICE. I have a Thunderbird and it's steering is twitchy and sensitive - the WS6 feels much nicer and more control. You've got yourself a nice car, take care of her!

You need to use photobucket to host your pic, here is how you can do it:

Congrats and beautiful car!!! My friends ws6 had power steering pump issues as well. I know these cars have much better, stiffer steering, but his was f/d up. His resevoir was full, but it wasn't pumping, and he changed it out and it works just fine now! It's kinda a pain in he ass and you need a puller t get the pulley off, but well worth it!
And raw power wise, I loved takin all of my friends for rides when I first got it. Trans Am - $14,000 dollars, gas to drive it home - $75 dollars, watching your passengers head almost get snapped off because of the torque - PRICELESS!!!
Best of luck to you!!!
