I wonder if they broke the tail housing.?

Its OEM. Pepboys did the work. Its like rubber moving around on the floor. It does this in park and in gear. It has gotten progressivly worse. On my drivetrain forum, we have came to a guess of the flywheel.

Hmm I would think you would possibly hear a fly wheel issue upon cranking it over..

Anything odd when you start it up? Any strange sounds that were'nt there before?

I mean durring the time the starter engages and the engine fires.

Yeah right at start up there is a huge vibration noise and sounds like banging in the center console. Then it stops and vibratiom is still there.

I will be replacing the flywheel my self. Due to lack of $$ and eager to learn. I already purchased one bc of the special order. (didnt want to wait once car was apart)

But now I have another problem... As you know. Lol....

If I were in your situation, realisticly with college looming, I would seriously consider trading it on something with a manageable payment and a warranty.

My best guess here with all that you've sunk into this car and keeping it road worthy amounts to quite a few if not a hand full of new/preowned warrantied vehicle payments.

As a 4 time Camaro owner I can tell you theses cars will still be here @ another time, muscle never dies..

You're already seeing you can't do this all the time, sounds like your wallet feels it too..

We'll welcome whatever car you choose to drive..

In that case..... It's a time consuming job, but not overly complex.

Assuming you have a manual, you should be able to pick up the basics in step by step form from an over the counter repair manual.

Just be safe and you will be fine.

Could'nt hurt to have a friend or family member give you a hand.

If you have access to a lift you'll have it made..

I dont make that much anymore per month. So I cant get a down payment and pay monthly. I was simply thinking selling the car (when I get it fixed) HOPEFULLY at least get $4500.. Would prefer $5000 but that wont happen.

Thinkin of goin with a jeep cherokee. 90's modle. Cheap and reliable. But we'll see what happens... I will update info after the diagnostic test.

I actually owe my dad $900 from other repairs done to the car... He said im on my own if anything else happens....

Is that all they told you what was wrong? Did they look any further as to why the injectors failed?

You can replace the injectors, I know that means more $$$ that you don't want to spend. It would be better to replace them and get the car running in the long run in you still want to sell it then take a major hit in price trying to sell as is.

One more thing...If it's poring that much fuel need to check the oil. You might be getting ready to have a hydrolock from the fuel filling the cylinder camber. If it get's full enough it can cause lost of problems like a bent push rod. Ask me how I know (had to fix my nieces POS, the injector fouled out and did the same thing you are describing). I say check the oil because the gas can bypass the rings and get into the oil pan like coolant does when you have a head gasket leak. If you have gas in the oil it will (a) smell like gas and (b) depending on how much gas contaminates the oil and will thin it out. The more the oil that is thinned out the easier it can blow pass the rings.

    Good luck.

BTY how long have you had this current problem? You said that the motor was rebuilt but it's passed it's warranty. Did this just come up? Having 2 injectors just go seems strange.

^^^^^ that would be very helpful but I already have paid for the diagnostic at firestone. And really the car isnt drive worthy at the moment.
