Black- BLK TA modded 12.2@113mph
I bought a new TA should I swap exhaust of old one
My 99 TA has a Flowmaster exhasut system that sounds mean and loud should I switch it on my 2000 I just bought? I see on this site that the flowmaster is not a great system for a TA but is it better than stock??????

Arctic White- 01 TA / 06 Duc 749D
It's definitely better than stock. If you like it then switch it out. Are you wanting loud or just a better sound? From what I've read on this site Flowmaster doesn't flow as good as the other popular name brands out there. IMO they sound great, but I would rather have a good flowing and sounding catback.

Black- 2000 WS6 6spd Hooker LT
It's your car. If you really like the sound, go for it especially since it has already been paid for.
I don't have any first-hand dyno results, but almost everyone here will say the Flowmaster is the worst flowing muffler out there for the F-bodies, barely better than stock, while almost all other aftermarket mufflers are better and about the same HP level, with varying sound levels. Nothing sounds like the Flowmaster, tho!

Black 99 A4 TransAm- 2000 MY Corvette
I really liked the sound of the American Thunder catbak by Flowmaster that was on my 2000 Camaro. It sounded like I was at a nascar race when had it dyno tuned, car is gone but the system still hangs on the wall. The Borla system is what I just bought for my 99 TA...should sound rich.
