HVAC VENTS and Plastic 3 way valve (defrost to vents)

I have a 99 TA that will not switch from defrost to vents... I changed the switch on the back of the A/C panel that controls the vacuum lines. Still doesn't work... So I looked under the hood and noticed that this 3 way valve has one line that is barely intact. Does anyone know the part number for this 3 way valve or if this is part of my problem? Thanks, Joshua

had the same problem a little while ago. It ended up being a vacuum line that runs to the back of the intake. it is a hard plastic small vacuum line that runs from behind the passenger headlight then over the passenger front wheel well then into the mess that you have pictured and ends connected to the back of the intake. I would check that to make sure that it has not broken or anything. also more than likely the peice you have pictured could be the issue also. just troubleshoot it wisely and either way should be a cheap easy fix good luck.

You can purchase the hard plastic vacuum line and a variety of connectors at most parts stores these days. Not sure about the three way valve though.

    Interesting....
I just made a post in regards to this issue from you, as well as someone else that sent you a reply.

The other post mentioned a broken vac line behind the passenger head light.
I replace the headlight motors last year and noticed a small broken hard plastic line but had no idea what it should be attached to.
At least now, I have a couple ideas of what to search out.
    Now the fun starts again.
    Thanks.
