The stockers should be fine for those mods. With my mods I am running the stock injectors/fuel pump and the tuner said I will be fine.

That's what is stock in my car if I'm not mistaken and the tuner said there's no real need to go any bigger unless I run a bigger cam or go FI. @ WOT none of my injectors are maxed out or even close. Moot point for me, since I am looking to go FI and will need bigger ones anyways so I have been looking... They arent all that expensive between 200-300$

I would get an LS6. You can get one cheap as hell. There's no real need to go with a FAST intake unless you have bigger than stock cubes (You will gain 10 RWHP over a ported LS6 if that from what I am told and that's not worth the $$ those go for.) Look for a ported one. 243 heads are the way to go if you are on a budget. I picked up mine for 450 off craigslist and they were brand new complete heads. As for a cam, I would find a local shop with a good rep, and have them order a custom grind cam based on what you want out of the car. Make sure to get springs and pushrods too.

I would, unless you are able to see them in person and check them physically along with someone who knows what to look for. Or you are buying them from someone you trust. BTW I forgot to mention, the 799 truck heads are the same as 243s. Vette 243s have the sodium valves, GTO 243s and the 799s do not. Z06 Vette 243s are more $$.

Sorry. The Z06 243 heads are more desireable so youre gonna probably pay a little more for them. This should explain it pretty good. They have the lighter sodium filled valves than the GTO heads

hmm interesting ...get great heads, AFR 205s and then run a fast 102mm with a cam ..you will love it ..dont get caught up in the peak numbers game..the fast might not always peak huge numbers over the ls6 (man argument against the fast) but it improves by peak+ under the curve ..that is what you feel. dont cheap out and run some ls6 heads and intake..that is for budget ...if you are serious about keeping your ls1..then give it top of the line top end or else YOU WILL get bored with power and want to go stroker .. if you do decide to go stroker...go aluminum ...aluminum can handle over 1000 crank..so the bullshit about iron is stronger is moot .....also stay away from the ls3 stroker if you can..just becuase 427 is obtainable doesnt always mean it is wise. do some more research on that matter.....get a nice ls3 crate if you go that route..or a junkyard ls3..and slap a new cam and heads on it and you will love it and have a great platform to throw some boost at.........for hp potential to money and reliability you can beat the ls3

the mw9 is a great piece...more than likely a little over kill but good none the less......and for suspension..dont get too caught up in the drag thing..TRUST ME..you dont want to build a drag car for 98% street and 2% strip..you will hate it...do a nice autox or hpde set up and then you can have your cake and eat it too

Bigger is not always better. You just need to know how to work with what you have

    thats what she said

but in all seriousness that is true because the more you do to the motor (mods depending) the less drivability it has

well yeah any motor that is relatively stock is still going to have a good drivability its just when you start to mod the internals is when you loose drivability
