My TA came with the regular, then I bought a hurst off of someone here. Then I bought a Pro 5.0.

The Hurst shifter was optional on any 6-speed equipped f-body '99 thru '02. It was never packaged w/ other options / packages like WS6 or NHRA. It's popularity increased towards the end, more M6 cars had it than didn't.
then how come it says here

"The NHRA option added $1,070 - $1,095 to the sticker price and included (but not limited to) the following: Hurst manual 6-speed (3.42 ratio) or automatic transmission (3.23 ratio), power-steering cooling, P245/50ZR16 performance tires, and NHRA-specific badges & keychain."

sounds like it was packaged with other options to me.

I realize it was an option..so where power sports seats (lumbar seats.) But again I have never seen a WS6 TA that didnt have them. I am certainly not saying they weren't made but its very rare those options were not automaticaly put on WS6s. I would suspect someone would have had to have ordered a car and specifiacly left it off for it not to have one.

(Formula are certainly an exception on the seats.)

Steve do you have the window sticker to your car or a copy of one for a NHRA TA? I wonder if it was listed as an "option" on the sticker but had to be included in the package or if it was listed as one of the NHRA package options (like the ram air hood and 17in wheels for a WS6).

no i dont have the window sticker. wish i did. i have a print out from decodethis.com that lists all the standard equipment for my car then it lists
option package :NHRA special edition package p245/50z/r16 performance tires, 16" chrome wheels (w/MN6 Trans-inc:Hurst Shifter) (w/MXO Trans-inc:3.23 performance rear axle) $1,095.00.

says the msrp of my car was $32,095.00

i dont know if the hurst shifter came with all m6 transmissions or not but i sure like it on mine.

I stand corrected. I hadn't researched the NHRA cars sufficiently to determine that, but indeed, all M6 1SH NHRA cars had the BBS Hurst shifter. But as far as I know, that was the only "option package" that had BBS included. Certainly not WS6 or WU8 (Firehawk).

My t/a was made in Canada as well and has the MN6 code as well for the Hurst shifter.
Looked it up on a couple RPO sites, one says Hurst, the others say "MERCHANDISED TRANS, MAN 6 SPD PROVISIONS". What does MERCHANDISED mean???
